| Wow! This is a hard one. Here are my best guesses using the definitions below. A= astonishment, wonder or surprise DB= disbelief, doubt about the truth DA = disapproval, condemnation or censure A = The tickets are sold out. DB = Isn't it strange ... ? DB = It was impossible ... DB = Rather odd ... A = He lost the key again. DB = It is curious ... DA = How annoying ... Note, the phrase what a pity expresses a disappointment. |
