Pygmalian should have a capital. It's the name of a Greek god from Cyprus who carved a statue of a woman (i.e., he transformed stone into a figure of a woman) and then fell in love with the statue. That's kind of what happens in My Fair Lady, right? The professor transforms a poor woman into a socialite and then he falls in love with her.
