Default along

Context:
While it is conceptualized that the Riverside Area is a
continuous experience, the spatial structure and views are very much determined by the bridges along.

I think "along" means "along river(s)". Right?

You are right, but I don't like the original sentence- 'along' should have something after it, like 'the river(s)'.
