I wanted to know weather the statement
"The passengers are onboard in the train." is a correct composition or not.
If not please guide me with the proper one.

I wanted to know whether the statement
"The passengers are onboard in the train." is a correct composition or not.

I'm not a teacher, but I think "onboard " means "on the train", so you should ommit the second part.

"The passengers are on the train" would be my choice.
"The passengers are onboard" would be alright, only there's no mention of the train.

I guess that 'the passengers are aboard on the train' sounds more natural to me and my English colleagues will give the same response.
