Hello everyone,
I have made a cloze of my book today. There have been one sentence where I don't understand if I have to use past tense or present perfect.
Here the sentence:
She
went (go) to school in the south of England, and
studied (study) English at Oxford University, but she ___________ (live) in the country for most of her life.
I would use past tense, because she lived there for most of her life.
Example:
When she is 20 years of age, and live the fist 15 years in London, but now she has lived in Oxford, then she lived the most of her live in London
Do you understand what I mean?
Why I have to use the present perfect in this sentence ?
Kind regards
Dany
