How to call an image with some texts placed upon it (for example, a background image with text upon it)?

Hi, as a Brit and mentor, but not a teacher, MS Word has a facility for overlaying tect on a background image. The background image is called a "watermark" as per the background images on banknotes and postage stamps. Is this what you are looking for?
