"an old friend" singular; "some old friends" plural; from "Korea" name of the country; "Korean" the nationality, the language etc.

Hi eelt, As a Brit and speaker of British English, I prefer and teach "at school" rather than "in school", which, I understand, is American usage. Given that English is now a global language, we have to say that both can be correct.
