Default Paragraph on Indian Premier League (IPL)

Kinldy check grammatical errors if any..

IPL has been a grand success, the BCCI had earned stupendous Rs. 350 crore from it, surprising more than the profit they earned in year 2007, Rs. 250 crore. The T20 format is here to stay and will rule the imagination of the people across all the age groups in the country. The pundits, who predicted that it would be difficult for the franchisee owners to earn the profit as they have infused huge sum of money in the tournament, whose fate is not known. But they had been proved wrong, as many franchisee owners reached the break-even point it the first year itself.

Thanks a lot could you please clarify the following doubts

    Is the following true?

    Franchise - Singular
    Franchisee - Plural

Basically I want to know what the difference it make if we use single or double 'e' in at the end of the word

A franchisee is someone who holds/owns a franchise, thus we can say either, "Franchise owner" or "Franchisee" but not "Franchisee owner".
    "Franchisee", singular; "Franchise", singular."Franchisees/Franchises", plural.
