If you shoot the ball which is comming but at the best possible time to do it (you did it exactly on time) you had perfect timing.

Without good timing you couldn't make a good shoot.
You were absolutelly ready for the kick the ball with your racket.

Also if you came to a station a few minutes before the train leave, but having just enough time to nicelly get in and accomodate your timing was very good again.
