Default nobody is nobody

"Nobody is nobody, unless you really hate someone you can say he/she is a nobody."

What is 'nobody is nobody'? Is it proper English?

Do you say, "everybody is somebody"? What does it mean?

Thanks

Default Re: nobody is nobody

"Nobody" has two meanings
a. no person.
b. someone with no importance; small fry.

In your sentence, give this two meanings to your "nobodies":

"No person is small fry, unless you hate..."

Is 'nobody is nobody' a commonly known term or someone is trying to play the game of words?

And also I'd appreciate if you can answer the rest of the question at beginning.

Thanks
