What is the correct way to sign off a letter to a 'Sir'

It depends on the type of letter. Here are a few common closings:

Kind regards,
Yours sincerely,
Yours respectfully,

Hi There
The normal rule is use Yours faithfully if you write Dear Sir/Madam

or Yours Sincerely if you write to a named person ie Dear Mrs Brown

If you are literally writing to say, Sir Michael Parkinson, you would use Yours sincerely
