Banner descriptions

Is the following banner descriptions grammatically correct and acceptable?

"XXX Annual Dinner cum Celebration of the Completion of XXX Education Tour and Graduation of the Language Classes"

I think the message on a banner should be short and eye-catching to give the impact.

I suggest the message above be shortened:

XXX Annual Dinner-Cum-Celebration of the
Education Tour & Language Class Graduation

'cum' should be hyphenated with the other words.

One more last question. If I want to say something like "...-Cum-Celebration of the successful completion of the Shanghai Education Tour (an extramural activities organised by school) & Language Class Graduation", how can I make it shorter without sacrificing the original meaning? Thanks again.

Actually, it is more of an exercise in graphics rather than language. :-)
Here is another suggestion:

XXX ANNUAL DINNER-CUM-CELEBRATION OF THE
SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION OF THE SHANGHAI EDUCATION TOUR &
LANGUAGE CLASS GRADUATION

Hmm...was wondering if 'conclusion' sounds better than 'completion'.
What do you think, teachers?
Also, should it be 'educational tour' or 'education tour'??

Regarding the use of "educaitonal" and "education", we have discussed this before. Please go to here for answers.:-)

Yes. If I have any English problems at work, I will post them to here for solutions right away. And the teachers here are efficient, they will give me a reply sooner than expected. This is a most excellent site I have ever seen. Tedtmc, do you have any other pop groups you would recommend to me?
