In the second conditional, some people say 'If I were you'. This is the past subjunctive and the only form you'll find because the past subjunctive is normally the same as the past tense.

The present subjunctive is the same as the infinitive without 'to'. In British English, we almost never use it any more, but in American English they use it after certain verbs:
I recommended that he be fired.
