Default What is this piece of grammar called?

    Hi fellas,

can anyone clarify me on those sentences "the more...the more..."

For instance "The more I eat, the thicker I get."

    or

"The faster you go, the more fuel you burn.

What are this clauses offically called? I need it for an assignment.
