    Default How to use "That"

    Dear Teachers,

Could you please tell me how and where to use "That"? Where can I get a list of words after which "That" is compulsory?
    E.g. "I know that","I thought that".

    Please help me.

I don't think you will be able to compile such a list. I would not try to approach it from the angle of "which word needs "that" after it".

Look at the link below to see how it is used as a pronoun, adjective, adverb and conjunction.

    that - Definitions from Dictionary.com

    Hope that helps.
