Hi
Could you help me with the position of adverbs in the following sentence?
They arrived in London at 7 o`clock last night.
Is the above sentence correctly formed? I mean, are the adverbs correctly placed in the sentence?
Shall I say : They arrived in London last night at 7 o`clock.
Thank you very much in advance.

The adverbs are correctly placed.
They arrived in London at 7'o clock last night.
The order of adverbs:
Manner-place-frequency-time-purpose
enthusiastically-inthepool-every morning-inthe dawn-to keep in shape.

i think the order of adverbs is adverbs of place then of time, moving from the general to the specific. The correct order would be:
in London last night at 7 o'clock![]()
Thank you rj1948 and sana22.
I think that my first sentence is correct: They arrived in London at 7 o`clock last night.
Hi!
Although I know the rules of the adverbs placement, I am sometimes confused
and I cannot concentrate on the topic.
Still, I`ve got the idea:
1. They arrived in London at 7 o`clock last night.
or
2. Last night they arrived in London at 7 o`clock.
At least I know that last night is correctly placed in the first sentence.
