Default Hey, Jude

"Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better"

1. What does ‘it’ refer to? such as in 'make it bad', 'make it better'.
'take a sad song and make it better' Does 'it' refer to the song?
'It' appears all over the song. I wonder if it has the same meaning?

"The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better"

2. ‘let sb. under one’s skin’
Is this a phrase? What does it mean?

There’s another phrase. If ‘someone gets under your skin’, they annoy you.

"For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder"

'...it’s a fool who plays it cool by making his world a little colder’
3. What does the quote mean? Please explain.

"So let it out and let it in, hey Jude, begin
You're waiting for someone to perform with
And don't you know that it's just you, hey Jude, you'll do
The movement you need is on your shoulder"

4. What does ‘let it out and let it in’ mean? Is it common usage?

5. ‘You're waiting for someone to perform with’
What does ‘perform’ mean?

’ And don't you know that it's just you, hey Jude, you'll do’

6. Does ‘you’ll do’ mean ‘you will make it’?

7. ‘The movement you need is on your shoulder’
What does the quote mean?

Thanks

Hi, Soup.

re 2.

The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better"

‘let sb. under one’s skin’
Is this a phrase? What does it mean?

There're two definitions regarding the phrase, which one fits in question?

1. If ‘someone gets under your skin’, they annoy you.

2. to affect someone very strongly in a way that is difficult to forget
Something about the haunting beauty of the place really got under my skin.

Thanks for the reply.
