Default drug-riddled

Context;
Before West meadow Beach, we had been a fairly happy, drug-riddled bunch of sniping American kids.

(1) drug-riddled = ?
(2) sniping =?

Is drug-riddled common? I thought "riddled" worked better with countable nouns

I think both will work. You can say : a disease riddled body or a bullet riddled body. One is uncountable and the other isn't.
