I am new to this forum.Could someone check for mistakes if any?
I am trained to be a science teacher;yet to get a placement in a school.
I may be asked to teach English besides General Science.I chanced on /upon this forum and I find this interesting and educative.I hope the teachers and others will give me a helping hand in learning English.

As for your sentence:

I don't understand what you are trying to say. I understand the "I am trained to be a science teacher." But "yet to get a placement in a school." I don't understand.
Do you mean that to get a placement in school you trained to be a science teacher? Do you think you can describe the second sentence a little more? Thanks!
