    Exclamation What is the difference???

    Can anyone tell me the difference between

    Made of & made from?

    Are they both correct?

    When you say "made of" you are saying the material/substance one thing is produced by. For example:
    These earrings are made of gold.

    And when you use "made from" you are saying that one thing derives from another. For example:
    Butter is made from milk.

    Depends on the context the use of made of/from.

    This doll is made of clay/wood.
    You can see clay;wood..
    This chair is made of steel.
    You can see steel in it.
    The paper is made from wood.
    You can't see wood in the paper.
