    Default grammar & vocabulary

Could you tell me whether the following two sentences are right or wrong?

    1.The equation demands X to be 6.
2.The questions are labelled by 1,2,3....(3 or 4 dots at the end of the sentence?)

    Thanks!

    1. People demand, questions don't, but if 'demand' is what's written, then use it. Also, 'to be' if often shortened to just 'be', like this,

EX: The equation demands (that) X be 6.

    2. The questions are labelled 1, 2, 3, and so on.

Note that, three dots (. . .) represent the omitted matter, and the final dot (.) represents the period at the end of the sentence.

    All the best, :D
