Default Are Articles parts of speech?

Sir,

In some books articles namely 'a','an' & 'the' are declared as parts of soeech but in some text they're not.Plz. clarify me whether or not they're parts of speech? Thanks.

Sure, they're parts of speech, just like adjectives, nouns, adverbs, etc.
