not a teacher

good : harbinger, herald, usher

bad : foreboding, premonition,presentiment

neither good nor bad: hunch, omen, precursor, forerunner, foreshadower, portent

The thesaurus is a good source of equivalent words.
BTW, the correct spelling is foreboding.

Jaskin is on a distinguished road
Question Re: forboding

Note I am not a teacher.

Interesting to consider are words with prefix fore +
Here you have some of them :

forecast
foreclose
foredoomed
foreknowlege
foresee
foreshadow
foresight
forestall
foretaste
foretell
forethought
forewarn

Interestingly, world bode means
Quote:
to be a sign of something that will happen in the future, usually something particularly good or bad
foreboding if it is fore + bode + ing constuction then lose the good meaning.
Could any teacher explain that ?
