Question Sue

What format should be used when typing a date in the body of a letter (i.e. July 2, 2007, or 7/2/2007)?

thanks

In American business letters we usually say, July 2, 2007.

In the body of the letter, it can be day month, day month year, month day, month day year.

Usually it is wiser to spell out the month to avoid possible confusion.
