| beginning pension corner summer year holidays birthday subject I think they are because you can't touch them but I'm unsure! Would pounds be concrete because you can count them? Thank you Nat |

| Just ask whether they have a physical existence. In a case like 'pension', you could argue that the concept is abstract, but when you collect the cash it's concrete, but the idea is abstract. BTW- you can touch a corner. http://www.usingenglish.com/glossary/abstract-noun.html |
