What`s the difference between these sentences if they are correct? In which situations do we use them?


I searched for the missing papers all morning.
i`ve been searching for the missing papers all morning.
i`ve searched for the missing papers all morning.
i was searching for the missing papers all morning.
i had been searching for...
i had searched for...

  • I searched for the missing papers all morning.

Past tense.
  • i`ve been searching for the missing papers all morning.

Present progressive. (Capitalize your I. That is not an apostrophe you are using.)
  • i`ve searched for the missing papers all morning.

Present perfect. (See above.)
