Default co-educational , domestic , occupations

Hello Everyone,

Today, I read a passage about Australian Education. Please tell me what co-educational means? Does it mean that male and female students are taught together in the school?

...The typical secondary school is the co-educational comprehensive or muti-purpose high school, offering a wide range of subjects...

And there is another word I am totally confused--domestic occupation.

...All major skills in a wide range of industrial , commerical ,artistic and domestic occupations are covered. Does domestic occupations here mean household related skills, like taking care of the baby etc.?

Regards

Sky

1. Yes. It means that male and female students are taught together in the school.

2. Yes. It means home-economics.

Many thanks!

Another phrase also in the passage I would like to touble you here---the fundamentals of inquiry?

... primary schooling lasts six to seven years and the curriculum is similar across the nation. Studies begin with basc language and mathematics ,and the fundamentals of inquiry ,and social , health, and and creative skills are taught....
