What are "be" verbs?

'Be' is a verb not a class of verbs, IMO.

Could it refer to verbs like 'be': copula verbs? I've never heard the term and can't find it.

Do you mean linking verbs like, seem, become, and so on?

Maybe "Be" is a North American term.
