Business letter abbreviations

I write business letters frequently. At the end of almost all business letters, I usually use cc: and add the name of additional individual who will receive letter - usually an electronic version of letter. I have been told by another individual that cc: is no longer correct - since I am not actually providing a hard copy of letter to the additional person, but am sending letter via email so it's an electronic version. What is correct abbreviation?

CC and BCC are still standard features of yahoo mail and hotmail.
I see no reason why that should be changed.

So you send a hard copy to the recipient, and you send an elecronic version to the others?

I would still use the "cc" - you can always add (electronic copy only) after the person's name if it makes you feel like you're being more accruate.

What different does it make if the cc is delivered on paper, via fax, or via e-mail? That person is still copied.
