Hi Everyone,
Could you please tell me what Americans usually have during their breakfast time?

I have granola with fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee.
PS: Re THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "HOW I S EVERYTHING WITH YOU?"AND "HOW ARE THINGS"-- there is no difference.

Do I understand your question correctly - What do Americans have for breakfast?
Some have cold cereal (dry pellets of processed grain with added nuts, fruit, sugar) with milk, others prefer hot cereals (porridge like hot mush such as oatmeal or cream of wheat), in the South it is grits (corn mush (also GRITS - girls raised in the South)), some eat fast food they pick up at the drive thru, so have biscuits-eggs-bacon. Personally - there is nothing like left over pizza!
Hi twostep: :)
Thank you very much for telling me what Americans have for their breakfast and pointing out my mistake.I guess from some unusual vocabularies like cereal, pellets gretsmush biscuits-eggs-bacon that you are a native American or a foreigner who has lived in America for a long time. What do you mean by saying "there is nothing like left over pizza."
Besides ,I have learned from some books that some Americans have bread, sanwich, boiled egg, fruit for their breakfast. Is that so?
In most cases languages can't thoroughly reflect facts .I do hope I could go to US someday!
Thank you!

Leftovers are what remains from your lunch/dinner. If you don't eat the whole pizza, you've leftovers. You can eat it as snacks, or even for breakfast if good nutrition is not your main concern

Remains sounds so dead. Left over, not eaten. Cold pizza has nothing to do with nutrition. It is comfort food. It does not look particularly appetizing, tastes great and you need no dishes but the original card board box to eat it from. Disgustingly great AE cuisine. :wink:Originally Posted by Francois
On a serious note - breakfast foods are a matter of taste, time and habit.
If you start the day with pizza, I don't see you eating vegetable and salad the rest of the day
