Hi. I have a question about the word 'mitigate' in the context of the subject. Is there such a derivative as 'mitigative'? I have seen this word used, but it does not appear in any dictionary that I have found. The word 'mitigatory' does appear in the dictionaries.
Is the phase, '... must apply mitigative measures to known risks ...' acceptable?
I noticed that the SpellCheck on this web page does not reject the word 'mitigative'.
