Can you name how many different colours there are?

I guess there's no definite number of colors...
We can't imagine the multitude of colors that the universe has on offer!
Just take a look at some of the pictures that were taken by the Hubble telescope when NASA sent it into space. They're amazing, breath-taking, awesome and... Well, I 'm sure I could think of a lot more adjectives here but I don't want to bore you to death

The colors of the rainbow are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Of course, you can mix and match these to make an infinite amount of other colors (red-orange, aqua, lilac, etc).

Let me rephrase the question:
How many different names of colours is in english ? (excluding descriptive ones )

So far we have :

red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet ..........aqua, lilac

I counted red-orange as descriptive one.

There's roughly 68 million colours on a 32 bit computer. Each of these has a separate name ranging from hexadecimal #000000 (also called black) to #FFFFFF (also called white). Do a search for "Web safe colors" which are a subset of these and which all have English names.
