What is the equivalent for the Chinese word"客
Hi everyone,
In Chinese there is a word "客厅“which means a room in your house where you receive your guests. I am wondering if there is a corresponding word in English .Is it the word sitting room?
Thank you!
Weiqun Ding.

My Chinese-English dictionary gives drawing room for 客厅. In this day and age people welcome guests into the living room. A drawing room is a thing of the past.
All the best, :D
