    Default Missing cargoes - 2

We understood that two cartons were stolen in France as you have explained to us last time. But we are pretend to we don’t know the details and asking Michael to investigate, then request them to claim back this from the insurance agency. Have they already arranged this to you? 'Challenge' is the insurance agency? Please confirm.

We understood that two cartons were stolen in France as you have explained to us last time. But we pretended as if we didn’t know the details and asked Michael to investigate. Simultaneously we requested them to claim back the cost from the insurance agency. Have they already arranged to file the claim for you? ('Challenge' is the insurance agency?) Please confirm.

I can not make out anything from the words in the bracket. I think these are not necessary.

As corrected by Anglika, replacement of the word 'to' by 'for' makes things clear. This = file the claim or make a formal demand for the value of lost cargo.
