Hi,
Could you tell me which is correct, respectable or respectful?

Thanks.

Ok.

Being a bank clerk or a teacher is a respectable job [it deserves respect/it confers social acceptability]

This is a cathedral. Please be respectful of the nature of this building [give/show this building the respect it deserves as a place of worship]
