sky-blue = nound+nound=noun compound
horseshoe = nound+nound=noun compound

Re: parts of speech In spring cleaning the word cleaning is a noun.
In sky blue the word sky acts as an adjective.

Re: parts of speech The word horseshoe is a noun-noun combination.
In the phrase two timer the word two is an adjective.
