Why 'right' rather than 'left' in reference to 'correct'? Hello!
I am wondering why the word of 'right' refers to 'correct' rather than 'left' in English.
e.g. Am I right? (But why not say 'Am I left')
I hope my question is not odd. Thanks in advance!

Essentially it is a leftist [politically incorrect] term since in past times a person who was left-handed was regarded as in some way morally undesirable
