There's quite a few of these cases where a single item is referred to in the plural. They all take plural verbs and pronouns eg:
pants, underpants, trousers, scissors...
"Those scissors are dangerous. Put them away!"

Thanks a lot. How about "information":
I have a lot of information which are/is retrieved from that website.
Should use is or are?
Thanks

Information is always always singular. (is)
Pieces of information can be plural. Eg. there were three pieces of information I asked about. BUT NOT "There were three informations..."!
I'd say "I retrieved a lot of information from that website".
