    Default adjective & adverb

    He is a lovely guy.
    In this sentence lovely is an adverb or an adjective?
    Although I think it is an adjective, but the test I took said I was wrong.

    Yes, it's an adjective.
    The writer of the test answers has apparently been confused by its ending in "ly". This is a bad mistake by the test maker.
