Could you please help me with the following two questions?
1.I am writing_____ your advertisement in yesterday's China Daily.
A.with reference to B.according to C.on my initiative D.in advance
2.--Excuse me,I'd like to see Mr. Smith.
--Sorry,sir.He ___now.He is having a meeting at the moment.
A.is present B.is gone C.is free D.isn't available

Hi Weiqun,

1. Good phrases are:

"I am writing with regard to your advertisement..."
"I am writing in response to your advertisement..."
"I am writing to apply for the position I saw advertised in..."

I good site to see examples of such letter writing is

2. D. "Isn't available at the moment" is perfect.
