In lessons, my teacher told us Chinese customs resists to import "DARKLE" or " DARLIE"( meaning: the toothpaste only for black men ).
Then a question arose in my heart:
does "black man" imply racial discrimination?
In China, I think, normalpeople think "black man" only refers to the African people without racial discrimination because his skin is often black.

The term "black man" is not generally considered racist. Whether certain Chinese customs practices are racially discriminatory is another matter.

"Darkie" is a racist term, which is why the toothpaste changed its name to "Darlie." The original image on the package was also a bit racist - the exaggerated features of an Al Jolson-type minstrel performer.
While there are products in the West designed especially for black people (for example, hair care products exclusively for African hair), Darlie toothpaste is just regular toothpaste like Colgate or Crest. It was originally called "Black Man toothpaste" because the inventor saw a film with black actors and was impressed by how white their teeth appeared in contrast to their dark skin. So besides the original name and picture on the tube, the actual concept behind Darlie toothpaste is also racially insensitive.
It's unlikely that Darlie toothpaste would sell very well in this country (USA). It is highly unlikely that CP would dare to market it here in the first place. The executives at CP are smart enough to know that it would be a marketing disaster.

It certainly would not sell here either! One wonders about some promotions departments and advertising agencies..
I don't believe something like that has ever existed...
I don't think it's offensive, but just nonsense and kind of funny...
I read the article, that's what makes me think it's total nonsenseness!
It remembers me an old chocolate in form of cigarret sold here in my country by the 80's and 90's.

By nonsense do you mean you think it is a hoax?

Oh, my god! There are "黑人牙膏"( black man toothpaste) in China, but it hasn't racial discrimination.
Because most Chinese people think the African people are very healthyand their skin is black( a healthy color) and teeth are very white and good .
And I think even most Chinese university students don't know the word "DARKLE" or " DARLIE" if he doesn't major English.
