Default How to say sorry in e-mail?

I have asked a unknown person ( i just saw his contact information in a job interview website ) about interview FAQ'S through mail.He just got a job in a company which is the one iam going to attend after 4 days.

I said "If I made you inconvenience with this mail i reallly regret for this and i will not do it again ". I think it is not good enough.

Could you tell me how to say this type of .....

It is not clear what you are apologising for having done. Do you mean that you have an interview with a company and have in error re-applied for the job?

Dear xxxx,
Please accept my apologies for having applied twice for the same position. This was an oversight. I will be attending the interview on [date].

I think, she does not know personally the person she contacted, and on the one hand, she would like some information (about the company) from someone who already work there, on the other hand she realizes that this request might cause inconvenience.
