| | Usage of adjective Dear teachers
I have question regardings the usage of different form of adjective
We all know that there are particular verb or noune can form an adjective by adding certain suffix
for example
select + ive = selective candidate
beauty + ful = beautiful scenary
We also know that adjective can also be formed when we change the form of verb.e,.g gerund or participle
demand + ing = demanding customer
motivate + ed = motivated stuff
My question is
How do I know which one to use in a senstence
Is there any rule specified the usage of the different form of adjective?
many thanks |

many thanks | Since you're asking for further opinions, here's mine.
Don't try to form adjectives this way. By all means try to understand how they were made, but trying to make up your own is doomed to failure. There are too many ways to make mistakes, and the rules are far from complete or universally correct. | | The Following User Says Thank You to Raymott For This Useful Post: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
