Is there any difference between a poster bed and a canopy bed?

I don't know exactly what you mean. A poster is a printed piece of art work or a graphic design/advertisement and a canopy is a roof or overhead structure that offers shade or shelter, i.e. from the weather. As you see, they are two different things.

There's nothing particularly different, when come to think of it. I reckon it'd do no harm if you used them interchangeably.

Perhaps some features make them diverge (if you're in the business).
