Re: Please Check this Covering Letter
Hi muktha
A short covering letter is a standard requirement when you send out any document. It allows you to say what you are sending the document for and to whom.
Comments on your letter:
- The date should be placed above the receiver
- Addressing the letter to the Manager is fine.
- Always have a title eg. Application for the Post of xxx
- State what post you are applying for.
- Have a double space after a full-stop.
- Tell them why you are suited for the post.
not a teacher

Thanks
It is a general application.Bank has not mentioned about the position of vacant post.So i am confused regarding what job to mention.

Re: Please Check this Covering Letter
If you are not applying in response to an advertisement, it is essential to send the resume with a covering letter. You may modify the letter as suggested below.
The Manager
.X Bank Of Bank

Please note that before doing my MCA in 2007 I have completed Plus Two in Commerce during which I learned about accounting and accounting procedures.
Enclosed please find herewith my Resume for your reference and information. Should you require any further details/personal interview I am available any time at your convenience. Thank you, awaiting for your favorable response.

The name of the bank in bracket may be deleted as it is addressed at the top.

Re: Please Check this Covering Letter
You need to use a space after punctuation.
People read the entire word, not letter by letter. I think that's the main reason.
Good luck.

Re: Please Check this Covering Letter
I
introduce myself as a qualified post graduate in IT having MCA degree with a commerce back ground
and looking for a JOB.
I would prefer the sentence to be more concise like this:
I am a graduate with an MCA degree in IT and have previous work experience in commerce.
Do you call a person with a postgraduate degree a post graduate?
What is an MCA degree?
not a teacher

Re: Please Check this Covering Letter
hi tedtmc
MCA is Master of Computer Applications.
I don't have any work experience in commerce.Just learned commerce.
yes post graduate or I guess simply graduate.

Muktha
