    Default Don't Try Anything

    Dear friends and Teachers,

    - I just watched an American action film, when person A is captured, and then the person B said this "I'll be right back, and don't try anything".

    - Does "don't try anything" in this context mean "Don't try to do anything to run away", correct?

    Thanks a million!

Yes. But it's broader than that. It means don't try:
    - cell-phoning a colleague
    - untying yourself
    - shouting out
    - escaping.
Basically, it means: Don't try anything that I wouldn't like when I get back.
