Position Control vs Positional Controller

Hi, I'm writing a technical paper and I have some doubts...
I have to write about a system that move a motor in the required position...
exactly as in this example Automatic Control Telelab - Remote Experiments
in the example the system is called: "Position Control"
the question is: Position is a Noun and also Control is a Noun
I think that this is not correct... I expect a adjective + noun for
example Positional Controller...
but has Positional Controller the same meaning?
Help I'm a little bit confused...

"Position Control" seems fine to me, you could use "Position Controller", "Positional Controller" looks a bit too much like jargon to me.

In the mean time I have studied and thought a little bit...
so I think that the two word are little bit different...
I think that in English It is possible combine two noun to obtain a new one.
so "position control" it is a new noun and may be it is the same as "control of position"...
on the other hand, with "positional control", I'm saying that the control is positional, and this is a little bit different.
the thing that I don't know is the rule to combine the nouns together...
