    Could anybody explain the meaning of these idiomatic expressions to me?

    1 as smooth as honey
    2 have the edge over
    3 not to be sniffed at

    have the edge over - have the advantage of

    not to be sniffed at - not to be ignored; significant; A milion dollars is an amount not to be sniffed at.
