rat out, dumped a load
In the sentences below, what do the words in bold mean?
These guys dumped a load when you walked in. They're gonna be talkin' about this for years.
Maybe you think a guy wants to rat out the Manklins at the Ritz Marlton tea room.
Drop the attitude, Jack.
I'm just trying to help out here and you give me grief.

dumped a load - not sure about this one, but a possible 'translation' might be 'nearly sh&t themselves' - they were very frightened/shocked
rat out - report to the authorities
Drop the attitude - "attitude" on its own has come to mean "bad attitude", so the whole expression means 'Stop being so obstructive'
you give me grief - to 'give someone grief' is to 'make life hard' for them
b
PS I'm sure http://www.urbandictionary.com/ will tell you more

Urban Dictionary, August 19: grab a wheel will tell you more
Hello BobK,
Thanks for your help! As I said to Anglika two days ago, I search the words in OneLook Dictionary Search and Urban Dictionary drives me crazy. If you type "rat out" there, you'll get something like that:
Old Athletic from 1919
meaning ladies nether regions..
Would you like a drink...
if so get your RAT OUT !!
I mean, I am not lazy.
This comic book is very hard for(to) me!
Thanks again
Best regards!
