| | Re: What does "meidiland "mean? The rose seems to be named after its creator. A cultivator of roses would consider it the ultimate honor to have a rose named after him. Apparently, Meidiland has achieved that. The rose (not surprisingly) is red. It is a beautiful rose, and I would be proud to have it in my rose garden if I still had one. :(
Below find a couple of links to websites that discuss the Red Meidiland. (The hybridizer's name is Meilland, which is similar but not the same as the name of the rose.)
Go to: http://www.helpmefind.com/sites/rrr/pl.php?n=5134 http://www.starroses.com/viewrose.cfm?RoseID=217
For more, go to: http://ms101.mysearch.com/jsp/GGmain...d+meidiland%22
Take the time to visit the websites (especially the first one). The roses are quite pretty.
:D

| | Re: What does "meidiland "mean? Thank you. The first website recommended by Ronbee is quite good. I find many kinds of roses I just read in the article, for example, Chrysler Imperial, Honorable Lady Lindsay , Pikes Peak. |

| | Re: What does "meidiland "mean? There are still more: Golden Chersonese; Alba Celeste: Trumpeter; You said they are cool names. But as a non-English spoken person, I just cannot sense their beauty
To me, they are not only difficult to understand, but to translate! So, I have decided to pass over these names and not to translate them ! |
